Awsome game, a bit hard but fun to play.

I'm not able to play it because it's a 7z file instead of a zip but it looks super cool.

Maybe it would be cool to play in browser if possible?

Sorry for the trouble, you can download 7z over here: https://www.7-zip.org/download.html

A web version simply wouldn't work. 3D stuff made in Godot tends to not work well with web atm.

Yeah it's annoying that there are no shadows also GPU particles would be cool too.

Really nice game !

Satisfying to play and I love the polish !

A bit hard but I just have to get better ig, thanks for releasing this !

Gamepad controls for the menu could be a bit better but in game it’s perfect 🙌

Cool game, but stealing music is really shitty. You took the music from Unreal Tournament (Foregone Destruction), took a shitty break from Stylus RMX and just put it behind it. (Original, copyrighted song is here

)

Not cool, definitely not cool. Oh, also, a real game on Steam already exists called Chippy and has a pretty big fan base amongst the speedrunning community. So... The title is stolen, music is stolen, concept is stolen, any original ideas in there?

First of all, the game is free and open source. It was always meant to be a passion project and nothing more.

Second, everything I've used has been credited clearly in the main menu. I even specified on the repo that the "stolen" 3rd party assets are not my property.

If I was charging money or claiming that I've made everything myself, then yeah that'd be scummy. But I see no harm caused by releasing a *free* game for people to enjoy. Plain and simple.

This comment did trigger me a bit, considering I've put a lot of effort just for some rando to spit on it and call it "unoriginal and stollen"

So put some effort into not copying a popular games name that already exists (how hard is that?) and getting ANY NUMBER of copyright free music, which is actually free. If that's the best your effort can do, than I'd say you should focus on that. I don't care if it triggers you or not, using other peoples shit because you're too lazy to do it yourself or find legit alternatives shows how little passion you have, and how much you'd rather just have attention.

The person who made the foregone destruction remix (phrakture) licensed the work under creative commons, and in the game, credit is given, it's non-commercial, and it's not an adaptation of the track.

As for the name, chippy is a word in the english dictionary, so any game can have this name. It'd be like saying Super is stealing from Super on steam.

I created an account just to leave a comment here. This game looks, feels and sounds amazing. And the source code is the absolute cherry on top.

Just started learning Godot a month ago and seeing this project amazes me completely.

That's a cool game! It's very difficult but I wanna play more and more!

which version of godot is required to build in linux.

3.5.1 stable

It is a pretty polished game. Although takes a bit of time to get used to playing with arrow keys instead of WASD.

I played it on Linux with the source code on Godot. Just use GIT to rollback a few commit earlier and get the Audio folder from there. But remember those Audio are not MIT licensed so you can just used it to play locally or study the code. Don't share it with anyone in any form possible !!

Gracias, no lo pensé!

Since i am being censored on delfruit, heres my review:
The game reminded me a lot of Shapes & Beats, just a little bit harder, which i really like. Shapes & Beats is one of my favourite games, but it was over way too quickly. I think the balance of the attacks is really good, although it gets really fucky near the end, especially on your first couple times getting there, which wasnt a big deal, since i bought hp upgrades. I didnt buy any other powerups, as it didnt just feel worth it as a temporary item. I think a full game release could do quite well on steam for like 10 bucks, similar to Shapes & Beats.

Thank you for making.

Same. 9/10 ! At first I thought that the game very difficult then I came back and got hooked for few hours. I would definitely buy this on Steam with a few more Songs/Level and diversifications.
